You ever try using 4" corrugated drain pipe as your siphon instead of the pvc? I could see 2 long pieces while keeping pvc T in the middle being quicker to set up/disassemble than screwing all those ferncos together and whatnot

HERE YOU CANT get ANY FITTINGS FOR THAT plastic culvert pipe like 45 deg 90's to go down hill like that, i have to use the heavy 18" city plastic water main pipe any time i have to drop a pipe down over the bank, dam shit a 5/8" wall pipe blue in color and O-ring seals, $300 cnd per 20 foot length, in my own pond i put a 8" heavy wall pvc pipe in the bottom with a pvc gate valve on the down side end to drain it down

I have noticed you are not using the 220 lately. Is it in the shop for repairs or maintenance? Good to know you have a backup machine that can still do the job. Actually, I think I see why you used the other machine; it has the compacting attachment, lol. Would love more explanation of the engineering involved in what you do, like the grade and leveling and determining those measurements. Amazing you did the entire project on your own, you seem to have it down pat and take it all in stride. Thanks for sharing and love the channel. Also, I was wondering did you go to a technical school to learn how to use all the machines and then also the engineering to do all the jobs you take?

Risk of ice cracking of water filled Exposeds Capt drain pipe ? (Mayby not a problem at all due to local climate ?), and also easy to prevent even if there is; one: insulating in wintertime. Why do you choose to cap that end? Why not in pond, then the old pipe would be dry downstream when the pipe is Capt of. "Underwater plug"may also not need treading due to overhead water pressure. (I understand that treading one in underwater would be hard.) I'm just curious, not meaning to sound like /bee a smartass

Yes that space you filled in with mortar in the drain box is lower for a reason being it's to catch trash before it goes down the pipe and plugs it and they make corner screws to hold the box down to keep it from floating out of the hole just saying

Chris, I came across your channel in Jan '21 while searching through vehicle recovery videos, I came across one of yours digging out a 360 from the middle of a pond ( v=3Eo_GvDGP-g ) , Since then I have ended up viewing almost 8 hours of your videos, For some reason I find them extremely therapeutic/hypnotic to watch, and I enjoy your problem solving and daily challenges very much.. Who would have thought driving excavator equipment could be so interesting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wish I had got my ticket to operate 360 excavators when I had the chance some years ago, but I ended up being a UK truck driver instead.. I saw a neighbor try to plug up a 8 inch siphon with a basketball. It popped and sucked that basketball right into the pipe. Must’ve been 1000 pounds of water in the downhill side.
