  • I know it’s unavoidable but whenever I had a job to haul material like that, I always told the operator Please load it over the rear and not the side and I’ll have case of cold ones for ya Worked every time. Excellent job Chris 👍👍

  • Listening to the buster squeak and rattle when it moves makes me think you should do a video on how you take care of yours. People will be amazed about how many lube points there are on just the carriage section alone and how labor intensive it is to own and maintain just one piece of machinery, let alone multiple pieces like you have. I am surprised no bucket teeth have broken in that nasty stuff!

After watching a few videos, I massively admire how you're sharing your knowledge with the public. These videos are a very valuable resource for young operators, planners, managers & even ordinary homeowners. Hats off to you, Sir.♡♧♡

  • Now that my IRworld feeds me a stream of random excavator videos on my home page, I've noticed how sitting up on top of the pile is important for loading trucks. Definitely looks a lot easier, especially when you have rocks. All the videos with excavators used for mining have them up on top of a pile loading trucks that pull up on either side.

    Travis ClemTravis Clemپیش 25 روز
  • I understand now why you don't include busting rocks when you bid a job. It seems that it could be very hard for you to estimate the time and equipment repair required to make a profit on the estimate. Yes in the end it all involves making a profit on the job that you are estimating.....

    Terry PomattoTerry Pomattoپیش 25 روز
  • Hi Chris , how did or do you price a job like this.

    Mike KellyMike Kellyپیش 25 روز
    • Pretty sure John priced this job. Can be a bit confusing. On some jobs, he works for John, and on some jobs, he works for himself. Doesn't help that they both have mostly the same brand and size of equipment. No matter who prices a job experience and a lot of contingency clauses get included in pricing.

He said the goal was to tee off in KeyWest and play to Michigan ! I got to operate several of their machines including a Cat 245 More fun than any video game made ! Only took me about one Minute per bucket to load a Dump, Didn’t matter , I was having fun !

    Ron MollisonRon Mollisonپیش 25 روز
    • One of the things I'm really impressed over is the way Chris reaches out and gently scrapes the surface of the ground when he picks up a shovel full. That has to make the cleanup after the hauling is finished, much easier. Otherwise, they'd be dealing with gouges, troughs in the ground, and random holes all over the place. Maybe that's part of the reason he's a professional and not just another shovel jockey. Really well done!

    Kelly PalmerKelly Palmerپیش 25 روز
    • He was saying that if it was good rock it could be crushed into a size that would work well for a driveway. But since it just turns into sand, it's not useful for a driveway or worth the expense of putting it through a crusher.
